Merit Gentile is a touring & session musician and photographer, currently living in New York City. A born and raised Philadelphian, they relocated to Nashville to pursue a career in music in their early 20’s. While in Nashville, Merit honed in on their artistic practice— combining visual and aural expression that centers place, community, and human flourishing. In addition to performance and session experience, Merit has extensive music industry experience— from physical distribution, to record and merchandise buying, to marketing and social media management. Merit has a college degree in music therapy from Temple University, and years of both private and group lesson teaching experience.
